The actress, who was a former cover girl is living with her family in Beverly Hills with her dogs Samantha and Olivia (above and left). Ann Turkel still struggles to endure her separation with Richard Harris, even though they only got married for eight years. Turkel was raised as an Jewish woman in Manhattan and studied under Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton when she was just 16 years old. Ann was brought to the attention of a Vogue Magazine fashion show by Gloria Schiff, an editor. Diana Vreeland, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine was able to have Ann as well as photographer Richard Avedon shoot Ann's first Vogue cover in a matter of several days. Ann was soon one of the top models across the United States, appearing on cover images for some of the largest magazines for fashion. They included Vogue Bazaar as well Cosmopolitan. After two years Ann hit the international markets performing well in Europe and Japan in the role of face for such cosmetic giants as Max Factor Revlon and Chanel.
